Welcome To What's Going On At Nanny's House

Hello everyone, and welcome to my house. Well, to answer the question, "what's going on at Nanny's house?" There's always something going on here! Have you ever known a grandparent's house that wasn't buzzing with activity? This one is no exception. Very few days of the week finds this house void of an energetic, happy and fun loving 2 year old little girl named Emma Marie, our Granddaughter.

The walls of this happy home resound with the endless chatter, laughter and the sweetest giggles that roll constantly from Emma's lips. What beautiful music it is to our ears. We thank God for this precious gift.

My husband and I are happy to announce a major renovation at our house since my last blog. Our home has grown by two feet! It's amazing how much joy two feet adds to your home. These two beautiful feet belong to our new Grandson, Padraig Henry Doherty. He is beautiful, God is so good and we are so thankful.

Merry Christmas From Nanny's House

Mat 1:23  Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to every reader of this blog.

Christmas = God with us, we have a "With us God", how awesome!  That's a wonderful gift!

Christmas 2010 is an special Christmas for me and my husband Randy.  We have been in Romania the last 2 years during the holidays, so we are thrilled to be with our family for Christmas this year!  We spent Christmas with some very special people while we were in Romania, but our hearts still ached for our family back home, especially the second year when our first grandchild was born.  God's grace is sufficient, he helped us through with the love and friendship of our great team and coworkers and the prayer support from our family back home.

I am so thankful to God for allowing us to be home for Christmas this year.  We were very saddened to end our term prematurely due to my illness and not be able to return to the mission field. However, we can see God's hand in the works from beginning to end. Being a full time Grandmother (Nanny, as Emma calls me) is the most fulfilling job I have ever had.  She fills my days will so much love, joy, laughter and exercise!  God has simply transplanted us into a new mission field.  We may not be in a foreign field, but never-the-less, we are still "On Mission With God."

It is my prayer that each one of us takes the time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. Consider the weight, the cost if you will, of the gift God gave each and every human being when he gave his ONLY son.  God sent Jesus to be born of a virgin, die a cruel death on the cross so that we could have eternal life.  God's free gift to all mankind, all we have to do is reach out a take it.  Have to taken that gift, it's free, it's forever, if not, I pray that you will today.

P.S. God is blessing us with a Grandson, to be born April 1st, 2011.

A sinner saved by grace.
